This place has been on my radar for quite some time, but never made the trek there for one reason or another. However, my buddy and I made it a point to get here today as we were both craving some good Pastrami. Let me start right off the bat… this place looks like a total dive with an old school motif. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you. The food was amazing! Their menu is short, which I love because that usually means they do what they do best. My buddy and I split a Pastrami Rueben on a roll. Their sandwiches are huge! Everything was tasty, warm (hot actually), and had a perfect balance of meat, cheese, sauce, and sauerkraut. It came with a side of pickles and pickled peppers which were delicious. We did get an order of their potato wedges as well. Both my buddy and I are a bit critical when it comes to good pastrami, so I can assure you this isn’t some store bought meat sitting in a pan for hours on end. It was fresh, plus having been freshly heated on the bread… these guys know how to make a good sandwich.

I am a Reuben lover. It's more difficult than it should be to find a good Reuben around here. The place smelled "old" and not fresh when I walked in and was kind of dingy but I'm all for a family owned business. I was greeted by a sweet older man and woman. They were super kind, telling me it was the best Reuben ever as I seemed a little unsure but excited to potentially find a hidden gem. Unfortunately, I am not a fan. I feel like someone would only like this if they've never had a "real" Reuben. True Reubens are juicy, fresh, and sooo flavorful with that saltiness and then tangy dripping sauce, melty cheese, and high stacked pastrami on lightly toasted bread. True Reubens are ooey gooey flavorful bliss. Now to the Reuben I received from this place... it was dry, yes stacked pastrami but only making it look like a lot of pastrami due to the extra layer of soggy bread in the middle... like Big Mac style, yuck. Not a lot of cheese and definitely missing that tangy thousand island dressing. It was supposed to be on there, I think I saw it BUT there was barely any. It was so salty and I LOVE salt but that's literally all I could taste was a ton of salt and a lot of bread! Saurkraut was cheap store bought, nothing special. I really wish I could give this place a better review but for a $20 sandwhich after a couple dollar tip this was nowhere worth it. I don't think I'd pay even $10 for a sandwhich like that. Arby's used to have a Reuben (I don't know if they still do) and that was better than this. I can't recommend much of anything when it comes to places around here with a good Reuben but the Beach Hut Reuben is much better than this and worth trying before this place.

Small Mom & Pop shop to go in & get the BEST Hot Pastrami sandwich & take with you. Very small inside. High quality ingredients. Made with love & care. Delicious everytime I get their sandwiches. I won’t order hot pastrami from anywhere else.

If you’re hungry in Rocklin, just stop Googling and head straight to The Pastrami Shop. These sandwiches aren’t just sandwiches — they’re events. Huge, stuffed to the brim, and so delicious you’ll wonder why you ever wasted calories on a “regular” deli. What makes it even better? The people. This family-run spot has the kind of warm, genuine service you can’t fake. You’re not just a customer here — you’re greeted with a big smile and treated like part of the family from the moment you walk in. It’s rare these days to find a place that nails both the food and the vibe. The Pastrami Shop does exactly that. Big sandwiches, big flavor, big heart

A lovely older couple that makes amazing sandwiches. Hospitality and service is top notch. Always have been consistent with the quality of a sandwich. It’s a no brainer to choose to eat here over every other sandwich shop.

The pastrami sandwiches are awesome! The pastrami is perfectly sliced (thin) and the flavor is spot on! The bread (I had rye and my husband had the Italian bread) was nice and fresh. The coleslaw was perfectly made and not soupy. The owners are wonderful! They are kind, friendly and helpful. You can not miss out eating here. I'm just sorry it took me so long to try this place.

Flamethrower Kelly told me the best pastrami he's ever had was from the Pastrami Ship in Roseville...Well, I flat out didn't believe him! Did they cure it themselves and smoke it too I asked? The Flamethrower didn't know, so I asked what made it so special? He thought hard about it, and finally said...Okay, it's the first time I've ever had pastrami, and that makes it the best I've ever had! Well...I was in Sactown anyway so I made a Lickity Split to the Pastrami Shop in Roseville and had an Amazing sandwich! 5 stars
